Nandini is located on the Ranikhet-Almora Road (also called NH 109), in Village Baburkhola, P.O. Dwarson, about 19 Km from the picturesque hill-station of Ranikhet – literally meaning the ‘Land of the Queen’ and about 28 Km from Almora – the ‘cultural hub of Kumaon’. Being located right on the NH the Cottage can be easily accessed by any vehicle – small or large, requiring no detour. The distance from Delhi is about 360 Km via Hapur-Moradabad-Rampur-Rudrapur-Kathgodam-Bhowalli route and takes about 8 to 9 hours by road with journey break of 30 – 45 minutes. One can also travel via train upto Kathgodam and then take a 3 hour cab drive to the Cottage (about 93 km). The nearest airport is Pantnagar, about 120 kms away, and takes about 4 hour cab drive.
Approach to the Cottage: No detour is required from NH 109, connecting Ranikhet to Almora, as the Cottage abuts the national highway and has its own parking area touching the NH. However, as the staircases from the parking lot to the cottage are not wheelchair friendly Guests with physical mobility issues are advised accordingly. Our staff is available to carry your luggage, however, we advise guests to travel light.
